About this track
The goal of this track is to get the final confirmations needed before moving a lead into application. There are only two steps in this track, but they are crucial and essential.
Step 1: Pastor call/confirmation
Step 2: Director of Mobilization confirmation
For Step 1, remember the aim of the pastoral call is to get confirmation that the pastor, church, etc are on board with the lead moving forward with WorldVenture. We want confirmation that they affirm their call to go overseas, that they intend to support the missionary (this is more than money), and allow the pastor an opportunity to let us know about strengths and weaknesses of the lead. This is also an opportunity to build relationship with the church that will have implications down the line, so be sure to ask if they have any questions about WV, our processes, etc.
For Step 2, this is a new addition to our process. With the move of application and appointment no longer under the supervision of the Partner Ministries department, I am adding this to be sure I have discussed with each mobilizer anyone they want to send into application. I want to learn about the lead and why you are ready to send them to application so that I can better advocate for the lead and our mobilizers down the line if there should be questions about someone's fit/readiness. This is also to make sure everything is done on our end before sending to application to better serve the Candidate Processor.
For each of the steps, be sure to record your NOTES for the lead.
